Falling Fabulous

Hey dolls,

Its getting pretty chilly outdoors...and me, I'm not a fan! But there is an upside to freezing your chic tushie off getting to work or out on the town. Fall brings super cute layers, plaids of all colors, furs, fab hats, sexy leather and gorgeous hues of burgundy, mustard and olive. Fall is my fav season for fashion! To get you falling fabulous, I pulled some looks together from my own closet to hopefully inspire any glam girl:)

One of my fav pieces to pull out in the fall is anything leather!!! Leather tops, bottoms, shoes, handbags, you name it I want it! lol... A good thing to remember, is you can carry leather from day to night. For a cute daytime look, pairing a leather legging/jegging with a plain white V-neck T-shirt or even a chambray button up and a cute flat, can keep it casual. To carry the look into night, pair with a sexy crop top, leotard, or a bustier. Pair with a heel and dance the night away:) Here are a few ways to work leather into your fall wardrobe.

Another great staple when it comes to fall, is the use of bold colors. Wearing a bold color will for sure make you stand out amongst any crowd! Don't be afraid of it, embrace it! However, don't overdo the use of bold colors, be subtle with it. For example, if you have a bold top on maybe pair with a subtle hint in a printed handbag to match. If you wanna keep it simple, do a pop of color with the shoes and jewelry. Less is more my friends. Here are a few bold colored pieces I picked from my closet.

The next look that is trending right now, is one of my personal favorite accessories. Drumroll please... Anyone who knows me, knows I love my head pieces. Whether it be a great hat or a fab head wrap. These pieces can add so much to an already adorable outfit. I pulled a few pieces I had on hand to showcase the dynamic of a headpiece.

Last but not least I give you a way to be girly, glamorous and chic all in one. How do you ask? Sequins my loves! Some may say a girls second best friend:) I have tons of sequins in my closet. It's pretty much love at first sight when it comes to anything with rhinestones, pink, glitter or sequins! I love to pair a cute sequin crop top with a leather legging or mini. A sequin skirt with a chambray, solid crop top or a chic blouse. I put together a few looks to dedicate my love affair with one of my fav fabs!

Its hard to get excited about the cold weather coming, but something you can look forward to fantastic fall outfits! The best thing about fall is all the layers and accessories you can add. Have fun and don't be afraid to make a statement. To put the finishing touch to your outfit, add pieces like fedoras, beanies, head wraps, scarfs, boot socks, and fun accessories like that. Use bold colors subtly and pull in trending pieces like leather, furs, hats, statement necklaces to make a pop. Stay warm and keep falling fabulous:)

DIY Halloween Costume

Its that time of year again...yep Halloween. I know I can't believe it either! I'm here to show you how to get your sexy on with the cutest costume you can find or create! If your like me, you don't want to be caught in the same costume another girl is wearing.  That's why I am all about creating your own. For several years, I have avoided all the chain Halloween stores with all the last minute shoppers crowded in a tiny rented space. Oh gosh, im getting closterphobic just thinking about it! Don't be that last minute shopper! PLAN AHEAD AND FOR GOODNESS SAKE BE ORIGINAL! I have compiled a list of my personal favs from my collection. All for that #bombshellonabudget and #diy girl.

This special piece is my costume for Halloween 2013. I'm super pumped to wear it Thursday. I created this look by pairing a corset from my own closet and made this tutu myself with some tulle I bought at Hancock Fabric Paired with a tiara from my closet and silver glitter pumps, I'll be shimmering when the limo picks us up.

Last year I dressed up as a hula girl. In my opinion is one of my best buys of my life! Seriously... I bought this entire look at the.... drumroll please... THE DOLLAR TREE. Yeah the store where everything's a dollar!!!! I like choices so I bought the floral bikini top and the coconut bra top. Both are a great costume look. You can layer as many lei's as you like to complete the look. I also purchased wrist and ankle lei's and tropical floral hair accessories to go with.

Next we have a belly dancing costume. This look cost about $25. I got the pieces from Earth Bound Trading Company , what use to be Romancing the Stone. Super cute paired with a chain head piece. You can shimmy all night in this saucy number.

I haven't gotten to wear this look yet. I have had this leotard for years. I am a trained ballet dancer believe it or not and have had this thing since I was in junior high. We won't go into how long that's been:) But I digress... I invision this leotard bejeweled from top to bottom, back to front. I would have illustrated it for you, but I got a full time gig you guys! lol. I bought these butterfly wings at the Dollar Tree once again for a smashing $1 whole dolla. Another cute costume on the low low

This last costume was my second choice to wear this Thursday. Its my little mermaid get up. I picked the fabric up at Hancock Fabric for about $6 dollars. I bought the turquoise bra from TJ Maxx for $5 and bejeweled it with stones purchased from Hobby Lobby for $7. I have a ton of the stones left for future craft projects. I simply took my waist and waist to height measurements, cut the fabric to fit and sewed the seam. I have a cute headpiece I created with pieces from Hobby Lobby such as a starfish and seashells to complete the look.

You don't have to break the bank on a costume to be unforgettable this Halloween. As you can see I recommend pulling pieces from your closet and building an outfit around that. Or find pieces from your local thrift stores or even the Dollar Tree. All the girls will be envious of your sexy costume and every guy will be breaking his neck to see what your working with:) Be safe and drink responsibly:)

Little Black Dress (LBD)

Every girl needs one! Whether your style is more contemporary, modern or traditional. The LBD is a staple in every fashion savvy chica's closet. Remember, you don't have to spend a bunch to make a statement. I have picked a few of my favs of the moment... The prices vary, but illustrate that you can in fact get trends of the moment without spending your pay check! You will soon find out that being a "Bombshell on a Budget" is what I live for:)

Day Accessories

Night Accessories

Must have of the moment... MESH CUTOUTS! It's great to have options so I picked a sexy little number from XXI and Bebe. Paired with the right accessories you could carry both dresses from day to night. I invision it with a plaid flannel shirt, combat boots, crossbody bag and a fedora during the day. At night, pair it with an open or closed toe bootie, a clutch and simple jewelry. You will be turning heads at date night or girls night out!

Vintage inspired pieces are always in style. The ModCloth A-line is a great retro chic dress that could be paired with a round toe pump and clutch. The xxi dress is a perfect way to go mod. Add a pony tail and cat eye and you will have people convinced you stepped right out of the 1960's

Leather or pleather!!! Either way you go, its a huge trend at the moment. In my opinion leather never goes out of style! I love both of these looks and in my opinion they are both great deals. Both are styled with black accessories, which is a super rich look. However I would love to see these pieces splashed with color. Were headed into fall now and I'm loving the burgundy's, olives and mustards. These fall favorites paired with black leather would be magical!

A bombshell on a budget has to have options when it comes to trending pieces and prices! That's why I selected these LBD's to share with you. Have a glamorous fall weekend:)
